Swallows of the Sea.

The Common Terns down at Preston Dock,so photogenic and a pleasure to watch.I definitely will be returning to try and capture more images of these wonderful birds. In the meantime I've posted a few of my better efforts of these birds for your enjoyment.

Martin. Some excellent images of the action at The Docks. It really is a pleasure to watch and try to capture the action and I will see you there again soon.

Hi Martin, it is a long time since I was at Preston Docks !! these are great photos, are you hand holding or on a tripod, I have such difficulty with the smaller birds hand held,

Hi Ray. Thanks for your comments about the Terns and Watervoles,It's great fun trying to capture Terns in flight but not easy. I use a tripod with a Wimberley head for birds in flight it gives you free movement while you can control your camera and lens with your little finger. I hope this is helpful to you.

Thanks Martin, the Wimberley looks very interesting, I will check it out , do you think it would work on a monopod ??

I have put a couple of pics up here if you would like to look,
