A few images of the large Skipper Butterfly taken at Newton Marsh, Fairhaven sand dunes and Cottam Brick Works soon to become another Tesco what a shame.

On an overcast and windy afternoon at Newton Marsh parked between all the dustbin wagons with the nose of the car stuck halfway across the road and getting funny looks from the drivers. I managed to get a few images of this swallow family.I'm very pleased with the results of my efforts and it just goes to show the unexpected is sometimes the best.
This young Blackbird has learnt very quickly how to eat my cherries,no cherry pie or cherry jam for me this year but never mind. This was great to see and photograph,note image three with with all the juice of the cherry spraying about as the Blackbird shakes the cherry to dislodge it from its stalk.

Carrying on the sequence of Barn Owl images a few more of my better images are shown below in early morning light with a blurred background. Those Commom Terns are providing great views down at Preston Dock.It's very hard to get the eye contact when trying to photograph these birds in flight due to there black head. After taking hunderds of images I'am posting a few of my better efforts which are shown below.
