Crossbills in the Trough.
A few images of Crossbills in the Trough of Bowland,even though these are only record images I thought it was well worth a post for these wonderful birds.

Martin. You have done well with these tree top birds !! Lovely colours in the sun,and you did well to locate them up on the fells. Excellent captures.
I completely agree with Brian - you did well to locate them! Excellent images of a beautiful creature.
Terrific photos Martin, certainly much better than "record shots". What a great looking bird and one I'm yet to see.
